We finally got back on cross-country skis this week—emphasis on back, since it’s been years. What followed was a snowy re-education in balance, gravity, and humility. There were falls (many), patient friends, and moments of Bear Lake winter magic that made every tumble worth it. Graceful? No. Out there anyway? Absolutely.

Before jumping into the new year, let's pause long enough to appreciate the last twelve months.

We took a short detour into AI and now we’re back—still figuring things out. A few things we know for sure, a few things worth noticing, and a reminder that small moments matter.

A quick trip to the city reminded us why we left: traffic, noise, and way too many people. Life’s slower at Bear Lake—and that’s exactly the point.
